Acerola — natural vitamin C with high bioavailability
Extract of acerola berries (Malpighia emarginata) — one of the richest natural sources of ascorbic acid, containing up to 1,500 mg per 100 g. Unlike synthetic vitamin C, it contains bioflavonoids that enhance absorption and amplify the antioxidant effect.
What is acerola and why is it better than synthetic vitamin C
Acerola is a tropical cherry with record vitamin C content, used worldwide in natural product formulations.
Acerola (Malpighia emarginata, Barbados cherry) is a small shrub native to the Caribbean and Central America. Its berries contain 50–100 times more vitamin C than an orange. Beyond ascorbic acid, the composition includes bioflavonoids (rutin, quercetin), carotenoids and organic acids.
The key advantage over pharmacy-grade ascorbic acid tablets: the whole-food matrix. The bioflavonoids in acerola act as "enhancers" — they slow the oxidation of vitamin C in the digestive tract, increase its bioavailability and amplify the antioxidant effect. Synthetic ascorbic acid lacks these co-factors.
We use a high-vitamin-C acerola extract in its natural form, without artificial additives or colourants.
Who benefits most
Key properties
Immune support
Vitamin C stimulates white blood cell production, enhances phagocytosis and participates in antibody synthesis. Reduces the duration and severity of common colds.
Antioxidant protection
Ascorbic acid neutralises free radicals and regenerates vitamin E. Acerola bioflavonoids amplify this effect compared to the synthetic equivalent.
Collagen synthesis
Vitamin C is essential for hydroxylation of proline and lysine — key steps in collagen biosynthesis. Supports skin elasticity, vascular integrity and joint health.
Iron absorption
Vitamin C increases the absorption of non-haem (plant-based) iron by 2–3 times. Particularly important for vegetarians and those prone to iron deficiency anaemia.

How to take
Acerola fits easily into your morning routine — the pleasant fruity taste makes it enjoyable.
Scientific evidence
Vitamin C is among the most thoroughly studied nutrients. The role of acerola as a natural source has been confirmed in several comparative studies.
